Overview
The Sealmaster Stainless Steel Gold Mounted Ball Bearing is built specifically for the toughest tests the manufacturing industry can throw at it. In industries like food and pharmaceutical production, safety practices such as frequent washing with hot water can wear down lesser bearings. Sealmaster SS Steel Gold Mounted Ball Bearings are lab tested to meet the challenge. We needed to communicate all of this essential information to customers looking to keep their manufacturing process running smoothly.
Approach
Through a :90 second full CG animation, we brought to life the build quality of the SealMaster SS Gold Mounted Ball Bearing that allows it to withstand these demanding environments while protecting against contamination and corrosion. This hero animation also created a number of assets that were used at trade show and in print/digital media.
Animation can be a usefull tool for product feature driven communication. We find it helpful to start with an inspiration document, that can be used to explore a wide variety of design solutions for what the animation graphics could be, to align with the product team and design.
Knowing the studio environment would be relatively simple, we wanted to make sure that the animation of the bearing included layers of design complexity. We explored several options for the way graphics could be designed, and the movement of the product could behave in exploded view animations and cutaways.
